Learn how to customize which notifications you receive from Zeplin in Slack

When you enable the Slack integration, it pushes all notifications related to your projects and styleguides to the selected channel by default. You can change this setting anytime and select which notifications Zeplin will send to the channel.

Adjusting Slack preferences in a project

From the project Dashboard, click the settings icon next to the Slack integration on the right panel, and then select “Preferences...”.

This will reveal a panel where you can select what type of notifications get pushed to the Slack channel. Scroll up/down to see all options:

Here are more details about the type of notifications that Zeplin can send to the channel about your project:

  • Screens - When a screen is added to your project

  • Screen versions - When a screen has a new version

  • Components - When a component has been added, removed, or updated

  • Colors - When a color has been added, removed, or updated

  • Text style - When a text style has been added, removed, or updated

  • Spacing tokens - When a spacing token has been added, removed, or updated

  • Comments - When a comment is added

  • Replies - When a new reply is added to a comment

  • Members - When a new member is added to the project

  • Extensions - When an extension is added or removed

  • Project status - When a project is archived or activated

  • Annotations - When a new annotation is added

  • Screen assigns - When a screen is assigned

  • Status updates - When the status of a screen is updated

From the styleguide, click the settings icon next to the Slack integration on the right panel, and then select “Preferences...”.

  • Components - When a component has been added, removed, or updated

  • Colors - When a color has been added, removed, or updated

  • Text style - When a text style has been added, removed, or updated
