You can transfer the ownership of your styleguides to other users or different workspaces depending on your role and available styleguide slots of the target user or workspace.
When you right-click on a styleguide or click on the settings icon that appears when you hover over a styleguide under the Styleguides tab in your workspace, you’ll see the “Transfer ownership…” option.
☝️ When you transfer a parent styleguide, all the child styleguides will also be transferred without losing their parent-child relationships.
Transferring a styleguide in your personal workspace to another user
When you click on "Transfer ownership…" under the styleguide settings in your personal workspace, members in the styleguide will be listed to be selected. The user you select will become the new Owner of the styleguide, and you will become a member with the Admin role.
☝️ Only the styleguide Owner can transfer a styleguide from their personal workspace to another user.
Transferring a styleguide in your personal workspace to your team workspace
If you have a team workspace on the Advanced, Team, Organization, or Enterprise plans, you can transfer your personal styleguide to that workspace if you’re a workspace member with the Editor or higher role.
Hover over a styleguide under your personal workspace, and click on the settings icon. You'll see the name of your team workspace after you click on the “Transfer ownership…” option.
Transferring a styleguide from a team workspace to a personal workspace
If you have a team workspace on the Advanced, Team, Organization, or Enterprise plans, you can transfer a styleguide from your team workspace to a personal workspace by following the same steps above if you’re an Admin or Owner of the team workspace.
Transferring a styleguide from a team workspace to another team workspace
You can also transfer styleguides from one team workspace to another team workspace if you have the Admin role or higher for both workspaces.
