💁♀️ Our Photoshop plugin was long overdue for an update—and it’s finally here. We’ve built a new, modernized Zeplin plugin for Photoshop, and you can now find and install it directly from the Plugins section in Adobe Creative Cloud.
Getting Started
To publish designs from Photoshop to Zeplin, you’ll need to install the plugin from https://zpl.io/photoshop-plugin. Once installed, you’ll find the Zeplin plugin under Photoshop’s “Plugins” menu.
Click on the plugin to open it and start publishing your designs.
☝️ It is not possible to publish PSD files directly without using the plugin.
Publishing your designs
To publish your designs from Photoshop to Zeplin, follow the steps below:
Select any layer/artboard in your Photoshop file.
Open the plugin and click the “Export” button to start the export process.
This will open the export panel, where you can select the project you want to publish your artboards to. You can also switch between your workspaces using the dropdown menu at the top of the panel, then choose the desired project.
💁♀️ Zeplin has 100 character limit for screen names. If your artboard has a name with more than 100 characters, it’ll be trimmed to 100 in Zeplin.
If you’d like to export your individual layers or groups into Zeplin as assets, you will need to mark them as assets in Photoshop first. You can learn more here.
