With the new Account Admin role, Account Settings page, and Domain Capture capabilities, IT teams in enterprise organizations will be able to better manage users and company data stored in Zeplin.

☝️ Please note that this feature is only available for Enterprise accounts.

Account Admin role

The Account Admin role gives one or more users in your organization the ability to provision domains and users without needing to be a part of a workspace or using a paid seat. You can learn the privileges of an account admin here.

☝️ To set up an account admin or admins, contact your Customer Success Manager at success@zeplin.io.

Domain verification

Under the Domains section, you can claim (add, verify) and manage ownership of your company’s domains. This makes it easy to identify when a new employee (a user with your company email domain) signs up to use Zeplin so that you can add them to a workspace in the company account.

You can learn how to manage your domains here. Contact your Success Manager if you need any help verifying your domain at success@zeplin.io..

Domain Capture for new users

Once you have claimed one or more of your company’s domains, you can assign a target workspace and enforce that all new users with that domain email address are added to the target workspace. They may not be able to create additional accounts or sign up for another plan with that email. This will help you onboard new users and deploy Zeplin at a large scale much faster.

You’ll be able to choose to either capture or notify new users signing up for Zeplin with an email matching the verified domain.

  • When set to capture new users, you can automatically add them to a target workspace with default access and roles.

  • When set to notify new users (usually chosen if you prefer to manage them yourself), you can use the default message or add a custom note with instructions (e.g. “Contact admin@company.com” or “File a ticket with IT support”)

  • Guests/external users (anyone without a company email) need to be invited to teams, projects, or files to access the organization. With SSO enabled, external users can still be invited.

You can learn more about setting up actions for new users and what they mean for your subscription here.

We will continue to add features to improve user provisioning so you can scale operations easily. Let us know if you have any questions at success@zeplin.io.
