☝️ This article provides an overview of the in-app notifications page. You can also learn more about managing desktop and email notifications here.
You can check your all in-app notifications and manage them in a streamlined way from the Notifications page.
Checking your notifications
When you receive a new notification, you will see the red dot on the notification bell icon in the top-right. This way, you can easily understand that you have unread notifications and check them at anytime.
When you click on the notification bell icon, the new Notification page opens while “All” options are selected by default on the left panel.
Under the Projects and Styleguides section, Zeplin lists all projects and styleguides you're in so that you can easily filter your notifications by projects and styleguides. By checking the "Only Show Projects With Updates" option on the left panel, you can directly focus on the projects which you got notifications about.
You can also mark all of your unread notifications as read or mark a notification as unread to check it again later on.
Muting projects or styleguides
You can also mute your projects or styleguides which you don't want to get notifications about them. Hover over the project on the left panel, click on the "Mute Project" option under the "..." menu. This also works the same way for styleguides.
Filtering notifications
You can filter the types of notifications you’d like to see from the left panel:
All
Under the All section, you can see all types of notifications you received. You can also select one of your projects or styleguides while you’re on the All section to see all notifications for that project/styleguide specific.
Comments (previously Notes)
All of the comment-related notifications are listed under the Comments section.
You will receive an in-app notification when:
A new comment is added to a screen.
A project member replies to a comment you added.
You are mentioned in a comment.
When you click on the relevant notification, you can see where exactly the comment was added to and the comment itself, at the right. You can reply to the comment there, resolve it or mark it as unread back to check it later. You can also directly navigate to the screen where the comment was added into.
You can filter the notifications based on types, members, and also filter based on sections when you select a specific project from the left panel. You can also type the filters in the smart filter field.
Screens
All screen-specific notifications are listed under the Screens section.
You will receive an in-app notification when:
A new screen is added to a project you’re in.
A new version of a screen is added to a project you’re in.
A screen is deleted from a project you’re in.
You can see the preview of the screen/version added, add a commit message, and directly navigate to the screen as well.
Styleguide
You can check all of the color, text style, spacing, and component related notifications under the Styleguide section.
You will receive an in-app notification when:
A color/text style/spacing token/component is added to a styleguide you’re in.
A color/text style/spacing token/component is updated to a styleguide you’re in.
A color/text style/spacing token/component is deleted to a styleguide you’re in.
