Zeplin’s Stage Mode is a simplified interface for presenting and reviewing designs. In Stage Mode, you can present your screen in Zeplin and get feedback through comments.

Viewing a screen in the Stage Mode

To open the Stage Mode, click the “View screen in stage mode” button from the screen's right panel.

💁‍♀️ You can also open Stage Mode by using the keyboard shortcuts while on a screen detail — Cmd + . for Mac, Ctrl + . for Windows.

To open the Stage Mode from the project dashboard, you can right-click on a screen and select the “View in Stage Mode” option from the menu.

Another way to view a screen in Stage Mode is using the footer menu. You can click on the “…” options menu on the footer and select “View in Stage Mode”.

In Stage Mode, you can use the left/right arrow keys to see the previous and next screens and use the Option/Alt + Arrow keys to switch between screen variants.

You can use the Esc key both to close the comment window and right panel or to exit Stage Mode.

Viewing and adding comments in the Stage Mode

The Stage Mode view is structured to get feedback on screens through comments without being distracted by the specs. In this view, you can see existing comments by extending the comments section from the top right corner. You can also add a new comment by clicking on the “Add comment” button or using Cmd + Click (Ctrl + Click for Windows and Linux users) anywhere on the screen.

☝️ It’s not possible to add annotation while on the Stage Mode.

Sharing the Stage Mode link

All workspace members who are invited to the project can access Stage Mode using its link. To share the link, click the “Share” button in the top right corner while you’re in Stage Mode. Then, Zeplin will generate and copy the link automatically.
