Approvals in Zeplin simplify the process of obtaining sign-offs for product development and launches. It allows you to assign design elements for review, collaborate with stakeholders, and track approval progress in real-time.

With Approvals, you can streamline workflows, prevent delays, and ensure a smoother product development experience. The latest improvements make the process even more efficient:

  • Batch approval requests: Submit approval requests for multiple screens or sections in a single action, saving time and effort.

  • Streamlined review view: Approvers can review designs in a clean, focused interface, speeding up the feedback process.

  • Centralized tracking: Keep all your approval requests organized in one place, making it easy to monitor their status and stay on top of your workflow.

How it works?

Once an approval is requested, Zeplin notifies approvers via email and displays the approval request in the team workspace (if you’re on the Advanced, Team, Organization, or Enterprise plans) and project dashboard pages. Anyone in the workspace — including Reviewers — can be an approver. Pending and completed approvals are visible to everyone, fostering collaboration through dialog and comments before final approval. Approvers can also request changes if necessary.

Tracking Approval Status

Changes in Approvals are reflected in a reserved tag group called “Approval Status”. This helps you quickly identify and filter screens by their status, Approved, Pending, Reviewed, or Changes Requested, within the project dashboard.
