Learn how your team can establish structured approval and signoff process.

Who can use this feature?

Basic plans

  • All the members of the subscription.

Team plan

  • Only members with an Editor or higher role.

Organization or Enterprise plan

  • Only members with a Developer or higher role.

Approvals in Zeplin simplify the process of obtaining sign-offs for product development and launches. It allows you to assign design elements for review, collaborate with stakeholders, and track approval progress in real-time. With Approvals, you can streamline workflows, prevent delays, and ensure a smoother product development experience.

Anyone in the workspace can be an approver and see any pending/completed screen approvals, including Reviewers. You can learn more about the different roles here.

The approver will receive notifications on Zeplin and via email. This allows for collaborative dialog and comments before final approval, allowing them to request changes if needed.

Changes in Approvals will be reflected in a reserved tag group named “Approval Status” to help you identify and filter Approved/Pending screens within the project dashboard. Check out this article for more details.
